Who We Are?
Our main reason for existence is to deliver universal standard cardiac care for children and adults and provide tailor-made cardiac specialty training and undertake preventive and curative cardiac research through our strong community engagement, partnership, and collaboration.
The Children’s Heart Fund of Ethiopia (CHFE) was established in 1989 G.C. as a non- a governmental and charitable organization focused on helping children with coronary illness. From its foundation, it has set out characterized prompt, moderate, and long-haul targets to save lives from heart disease and educate the society on causes of the disease. In its quick and halfway destinations, CHFE figured out how to work for around 5,600 patients both in abroad and privately welcomed clinical missions. CHFE has accepted that in the initial two targets have been finished with momentous employment.
Since 2009 CHFE has shifted its attention to embark up on its long-term objectives i.e. to establish a sustainable cardiac center and launched different programs to realize these objectives under the one and only Cardiac Center-Ethiopia located at Black Lion Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The center came to life with the contribution of the public society, Addis Ababa University and Chain of Hope, a charity organization in UK.
Since the principal day of its activity, the center rendered its service for more than 5,000 patients free of charge. Considering the most reduced conceivable charge for this service in the global field the administration we have given worth more than 70,000,000 USD.
